Since we’re nearing the end of 2024, it’s the perfect opportunity to look back at the year behind us in our annual wrap up blog – and what a year it has been! Infinity continued to grow, welcoming 12 key staff members to the office and site, bringing our team count up to 47. Despite the various challenges in the industry, it was still a year of highlights for Infinity’s projects in 2024.
It was an integral year for our Abbotsford master planned community, The Rail District:
- Our Presentation Center, 4 display townhomes, and condo show suite continue to see plenty of traffic.
- The 91-unit Brickyard Neighbourhood Townhouse project sold out!
- The 79-unit Railside Neighbourhood has sold 35 units to date.
- Our 1st 6 storey 93-unit condominium, The Mason Building, is sold out! We’re looking forward to welcoming our homeowners next year.
- The 2nd 94-unit condominium, The Wright Building, will launch in the spring!
- Rail Plaza retail tenants Beard & Bardot and Foxglove have become established and are successful members of the community. Our vision for The Rail District collective is coming to life!
- The Rail Trail and newly completed sports court continue to see lots of action, and have become key aspects of life at The Rail District.
- The Station, the community amenity building and pool has started construction, with completion expected next summer.
Additionally, we’re excited to be working in other areas of Abbotsford as well as at The Rail District!
- Our next project on Maclure Road, recently branded Fable, is heading toward the start of servicing for 145 townhome units, with a construction start planned for early 2025.
- Infinity’s Marshall Road Industrial project in Abbotsford consisting of 85,000 square feet of industrial space is scheduled to start construction the end of 2025.
We weren’t just limited to Abbotsford, though. We have projects in various stages of the development process all over the Fraser Valley, even stretching as far as Northern BC, and the United States.
- Our 44-duplex project Roots in West Langley sold out this year, and our homeowners are happy!
- We’re looking forward to opening a new Infinity chapter on Burke Mountain, and Versant, our 66-unit project in Coquitlam, is well under construction with the PC and show homes to be ready next summer. We’re so proud of this brand, and seeing it come to life is exciting.
- Traverse, our 2nd project on Burke Mountain in Coquitlam, also is heading toward Building Permit submission for 92 townhomes, with a construction start anticipated Q2 2026!
- Our Prince George projects hit major milestones this year. We’re marketing lots at our new riverfront Banks project, and completing servicing on 54 lots in our West Tyner project The Headlands, with over 20 lots already sold! We also started construction on 6 homes with many more to come in 2025.
- Our team made 3 visits to Portland in 2024 to check in on various projects: the successful build and sellout of our 102 lot Hidden Falls development and 31 unit Redwood townhome development, the finishing of the servicing of the first phase of our 123 lot Serres Farm development, and the start of or 93 lot Mill Creek development. There also was good progress on the approvals for our 110-acre Park Place masterplan project.
We’ve been able to accomplish so many amazing things this year, but we’re especially proud of the opportunities we had to give back to some of the causes that are the most important to us.
- We continued volunteering our time as well as financially supporting Nightshift and Life Recovery aiding in the fight against homelessness and drug addiction.
- We attended various fundraising events and provided support to Wagner Hills Farm, Raphael House, Mackie’s Place and City Dream Centre.
- We continued our support of the Langley and Abbotsford Fire Fighters charities, and the work they do in the communities we work and live in.
- Infinity provided health care support through BC Children’s Hospital and Canuck Place.
- In collaborating with Benchmark Homes, we finished the second year of a donation matching program as part of our year end appreciation night for the Langley Food Bank, totaling close to $20,000, which will be matched by Infinity and Benchmark. We’re thrilled about the generosity displayed by our trades and consultants in giving back to those in our local community.
To wrap up the year, we were happy to have many of our staff, trades, and suppliers join us at our office for our annual trades & consultants’ part in December. Our Infinity team also celebrated the Christmas season with an ugly sweater-themed staff party at our head office, which was a wonderful time as always! We’re thankful to work with a group of people who exemplify our core values in all areas of life: showing respect, being better, and working hard (and playing hard, too!).
Have a very happy New Year from all of us at Infinity, and we’re looking forward to another successful year in 2025!
