As we approach the end of the year, we wanted to look back at our year of growth and adaptation at Infinity. On the world scale, 2022 was yet another year of tumultuous events – there have been challenges, fears, and changes that we never thought would transpire, and many interest rate hikes! Despite those challenges, it was also a year of re-opening – and a return to some kind of “normalcy” within the workplace and our industry. Here is a look back at some of the highlights of our projects in 2022 at Infinity:
- Our Roots and Rail District construction programs got in to full swing, with homes beginning construction in early 2022.
- We sold out of our released duplexes at our Roots project in Langley in early 2022 – all sold as a pre-sale. Only 4 homes remain to be released for sale.
- Our Prince George projects hit major milestones: Phase 6 of University Heights was completed and construction of new homes began. We also began construction and site servicing on our first phase of our community on the banks of the Nechacko River, The Banks.
- Our future phases of townhouses and condos at our masterplanned community The Rail District were approved by the City of Abbotsford.
- We began our development and building permit applications for new townhouse communities on Burke Mountain, Coquitlam.
- In Portland, we continued to build homes and sold out two projects: Tanner Ridge and Hamilton Acres. Construction began on our newest project, Serres Farms, and we progressed further with sales at Hidden Falls.
- Our office building The Xchange became 95% leased up by the end of 2022.
- Construction of our sales centre and display homes at The Rail District were nearly completed by December 2022, and are set to open in early 2023.
2022 was also a very rewarding year for Infinity’s past project Eastridge Panorama:
- Eastridge was named a finalist for the Canadian Home Builders Association’s Georgie® Awards in the categories of Best Corporate/Project Website and Marketing Campaign of the Year.
- Eastridge was also named a winner in the following categories in the Homebuilder’s Association of Vancouver (HAVAN) Awards for Housing Excellence:
- Best Townhouse/Rowhome Unit over 1500 square feet
- Best Townhouse/Rowhome Development
- Best Marketing Campaign
- Grand HAVAN: Best Residential Community: Multifamily
In July 2022 we held our first ever strategic “Townhall” meeting at our new offices at The Xchange. By mid-2022, our construction and sales and marketing teams grew as we added new team members. A few months later, the Infinity office team travelled to Osoyoos to work on teambuilding and our goals for the coming year. Throughout the year, our team had opportunities to volunteer preparing meal packages and distributing hot meals at The Nightshift in downtown Langley. As always, we were pleased to have our valued trades and suppliers join us to celebrate a successful year in December.
