Infinity launched an initiative raising more than $20,000 to help feed students in the Langley community.
At Infinity, we believe that when you’re part of a community, you’re part of something bigger. We’re always inspired when people, organizations and businesses come together to support each other and look out for those in need. Every day, our drive to succeed is fueled by our desire to contribute to the community—and 2020 made this mission all the more urgent.
Before the COVID-19 crisis, there were more than 3,000 local students that arrived at school hungry every day. The Langley School District Foundation had developed a meal program to provide food, but the pandemic put the initiative in jeopardy: changing logistics and school closures meant resources weren’t going as far as they used to, and these students were facing the prospect of going hungry.
Infinity is proud to call Langley home, and we knew our team would be eager to help the Langley School District Foundation continue to support kids in our community. We set the ambitious goal to raise $20,000 through our Heart & Soul Program and we committed to matching donations up to $10,000. We encouraged those who couldn’t donate to share the initiative with family and friends and spread the word via social media. In a little more than a week, we met and exceeded our goal, raising $24,875 to help feed local families in need.
Many are facing challenges and hardships from COVID-19, but the pandemic has also shown us the power of community. We’re humbled by the generosity of everyone who donated and helped raise awareness, and we’re grateful to be able to rally our team, partners and community to support those who need it most.
