Infinity has big plans in store to make an even greater impact for people in need.
Since the outset, we’ve always been driven to make an impact in the communities we’re a part of. And it’s not just about the homes and neighbourhoods we build; our purpose is greater than real estate and development. We see every successful project as a partnership with the community—which is why we strive to do good where we work. We’re excited to announce that our Heart & Soul program will soon be a stand-alone foundation, giving us even more opportunities to help people in need.
For us, giving back is a way of life. It’s how we were raised, and it’s one of the most rewarding parts of our business. In 2015, we created the Heart & Soul program to give our team a bigger platform to do good. Through the program’s three pillars—sponsorship, volunteering and donation matching—we’ve been able to support organizations and people in need. We’ve been fortunate to contribute to the causes that are close to our hearts, and we learned early on what’s possible when people band together; after a devastating fire at an apartment complex in our hometown of Langley several years ago, there were numerous renters, homeowners and investors who needed temporary housing and financial aid. We helped organize a community initiative with other local businesses and residents, and with the help of industry partners, we raised over $200,000 to support those affected. It was our first time tackling a cause that big, and it helped us solidify the vision for our corporate giving program.
Today, our founder, Tim Bontkes, is excited about his plans to expand our Heart & Soul program into a formal charitable foundation with the help of the Infinity team and his family. With its own strategy and budget, and a plan to partner with other businesses and organizations, the new foundation will make it possible for us to do more for the communities and causes we care about—and establish a legacy we can all take pride in. And the future looks bright!
